Where can wallpaper be applied?

Wallpaper can be applied to most smooth interior surfaces, such as walls, cupboard doors and ceilings. Walls need to be painted or skimmed to ensure better adherence and the best possible finish.

What is the difference between vinyl, paper and natural wallcoverings?

All these types of wallcoverings have a paper backing and the front is made of vinyl, natural textiles such as bamboo or grass or printed paper.

Which wallcovering is more durable?

Vinyl and non-woven wallcoverings are the most user-friendly as it is easier to install as well as remove and is more durable.

Can wallpaper be cleaned?

Textiles such as natural materials and flock finishes should be gently vacuumed. Vinyl wallcoverings can be wiped clean with a mild ammonia-free solution (such as dishwashing liquid). Paper wallcoverings should not be washed or wiped.

How long does wallpaper last?

It depends on where it is applied, the traffic flow through that area and the type of wallpaper. Vinyl wallcoverings generally last the longest as they are the most durable due to their composition, whereas paper and natural wallcoverings are more vulnerable to wear and tear.

Can wallpaper be applied in a bathroom or kitchen?

Yes, although only vinyl wallpaper is recommended and should not be applied to an area that is exposed to direct steam or water.
